In the span of my career: First there was barely legible doctor writing in hard copy records. Then typing took over and it was legible, but barely understandable at times dt haste, poor grammar, and atrocious spelling. Now doctors are speaking their consult messages and notes and letting AI type it for them... and it's disturbingly nonsensical at times. But, hey, the computer knows what it's doing and fixes it, right? /s I just wonder when we'll reach this golden age of communication for the sake of clarity & focus, and not merely for saving time and harvesting data.
