Why is Mastodon already losing users, a mere month after the great Twitter exodus?
Is it because it's too confusing for people who are used to the "single platform" experience, or is it because it's too much of an echo chamber in the same way Twitter was before Musk bought it?

Mastodon's popularity peaked in the last week of November and the first week of December last year when its number of users hovered around 2.5 million. Fast-forward to 2023, and that number has fallen dramatically.
Maybe #Mastodon can sometimes feel a little stiff when it comes to adding new featuers each week but this is with a very important reason!
Eugen and the teams are thinking loong and deep before adding a new feature since it can have unforseen implications
(Mental) health is so much more important than keeping you as long as possible on here. Social media should be a choice, not an addiction!
