RE: https://mean.engineer/@indutny/116245283352156779

Over the night I got so many responses and boosts to my original Toot that I decided to start the petition to Node.js Technical Steering Committee (TSC) to make sure all our voices are heard.

If you don't want Node.js core to be diluted with AI slop - please sign it by opening a Pull Request here and boosting this Toot for reach:

Thank you, you are the best!

I have neurons that activate when people try to argue with me using the output of an LLM

it's the same neurons that I used to spend debating fundamentalist christianity with a childhood friend. I'm talking real shit like literal interpretation of noah's ark, young earth creationism, etc, but like arguing for multiple months about it.

I put those neurons away some time ago, I thought they were a waste of time.

...hello, old friends

Finally got around to updating my rw_iter branch, which currently has 471 patches and drops the legacy fops read/write non-iterating handlers. It boots and works here. See https://lwn.net/Articles/972081/ for details. When is the last time you saw a patch series diffstat look like this:

990 files changed, 12302 insertions(+), 12993 deletions(-)

The file_operations structure gets smaller

Kernel developers are encouraged to send their changes in small batches as a way of making life [...]

"one must imagine Sisyphus happy" I mutter to myself as I watch the pull request queue somehow grow bigger every time I merge something
