Liberal rocks is an introverts activism project. We're fighting the culture war, one little message at a time. You can join the fun by either ordering yourself some rocks to leave around town at www.liberalrocks.com or by joining the group while you consider it at www.liberalrocks.org.
@georgetakei As a potter, I'm finally seeing a way to use up all my seconds.

Affirmative action was never about admitting unqualified Black kids. It was always about ensuring qualified Black kids could also get accepted despite a world of systemic racism.

The “unqualified admission” you’re thinking of are legacy students—like how Kavanaugh got into Yale, or how George W. got into yale, or how Kushner got into Harvard.

Every GOP accusation is a confession, and this is no exception.

@georgetakei I think we're all saying those words

Hopefully someone will use this precedent to outlaw legacy entries.

The climate deniers who claim that climate scientists are in it for the grant money should be forced to write and submit 10 grants.gov proposals as punishment.

Ok, I have to know. Who do you know has ever taken a month off of work to go to Europe? I'm approaching 50 and I've never seen a workplace that will approve more than about a weeks worth of vacation to be taken at a time. The concept of taking 2-4 consecutive weeks of vacation is completely and utterly foreign to me.

"I feel the need to explain something to the generation that does not remember, or never saw, a world where one person with a high school education could support a family of 5 comfortably.

"This was real. For millions of US families. It was *normal.*

"It was stolen from you."

@qurlyjoe Preach!
@tess I was rather enjoying Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies. The I Want More number is worthy of looping on youtube. Canceled my subscription today.

I feel like I'm constantly "we shouldn't have to live like this" about several different topics. Being afraid of being shot grocery shopping. Endless financial squeezing. Religious zealots trying to ban joy from the world.

Tell me, what's your "We shouldn't have to live like this" topic? And do you see hope coming from any direction about it?
