One of the more limiting things about Signal is you have to give out your mobile number to everyone. Even if it is a burner, I still don't want to advertise to the world that it's mine.

@rolle the Fediverse is exactly what the Internet needs.

Facebook came along, which gutted independently run communities for the sake of convenience and centralization. All these years later, Facebook groups and pages are still woefully basic compared to what people had built for themselves 20-30 years ago, and what functionality they do offer may disappear without notice if the bean counters demand it.

Communities need to be run by communities again, not business people.

Apartheid state of #israel controls everything regarding #gaza. From electricity to imports & exports, etc...

A good reason why Gaza is also known as the world's largest open prison. My question is this, when will the israeli government actually decides to occupy the strip, to force #hamas out of power? We just saw how maintaining the #statusquo only means months/years of time to plan.

Terrorism is the only way for Hamas to maintain/force intrest among the #palestine population.
