@siracusa two quick questions:

1. do you think you'll discuss The Last of Us S2 on a podcast at any point?

2. why doesn't Majora's Mask make it onto your Great Games list?

Thank u :)

Enjoying @caseylisscom’s new app, but wondering why to switch over from Letterboxd for cast & crew info? Is there a difference I’m missing?

@RecDiffs @siracusa @hotdogsladies

5. John, I’m afraid you may need to review more than 2 of the 3227 interviews before deciding on the premise; this is a rare example im which many castaways have taken the premise far more seriously — and far less seriously — than you

@RecDiffs @siracusa @hotdogsladies

4. “Comfort item”? Honestly, Merlin

@RecDiffs @siracusa @hotdogsladies

3. Regarding the Bible “still” being given to each castaway, along w/ the complete works of Shakespeare and one of their choosing, please remember this is the British Broadcasting Corporation, a state funded venture. The head of that state is the King, who happens also to be the head of the Church of England, and effectively God’s representative on earth. Difficult to deviate, therefore, from a bit of subliminal sunday school that’s been running since the 40s

@RecDiffs @siracusa @hotdogsladies

2. The format is intentionally structured to use the songs as a way to navigate biography, and often loosely correspond to a the interviewees personal chronology. Ideally, the songs dovetail with personal highs & lows, as contextual markers in dramatic life lived

@RecDiffs / @siracusa / @hotdogsladies

Re: Desert Island Discs

Wonderful that you’ve stumbled across the programme, but I’m sorry to write to both of you regarding a few fundamental misreadings:

1. Such violent tone shifts are not intentional — the current presenter has been under fire since taking over for her interview style (previous presenters were v beloved)
