Anybody know some good blind/screen reader friendly utilities for better managing virtual desktops in Windows 11/10? I use 4 to separate out my workspaces. I'm blind, so this is the next best thing to having multiple monitors. Better yet, each desktop has its own separate alt+tab app switcher list. Unfortunately, it's a frustratingly manual process micromanaging which apps open on which desktop and moving apps that opened in the wrong desktop on startup. I would love something that can make sure apps/app windows open in the right desktops, or at the very least have some keyboard shortcuts so I don't have to dive into the task view and faff around with context menus to move apps around. As far as I can tell, Windows simply doesn't have any native keyboard shortcuts for this stuff after you hit win+tab #windows#windows11#windows10#blind#virtualDesktops#taskView
For anyone trying to use the Passenger Assist app or website in the UK and who isn't getting the needed confirmation code to make a new account or reset a password, try a different email address. My main email provider isn't very well known so I didn't get my code no matter how many times I tried it. I used a GMail address and it was there within seconds.
has anyone worked out how to transfer files from a PC to a Brailliant BI20x or its brethren? I need one of those card readers that work with iPhone, but don't have one lol. It's for transfwerring choir files to the machine.
Anyone else associate drinking wine with not freezing your feet off? I do but I have 7 bottles in my house right now courtesy of a generous friend, but I feel like I should try one to say that I've had some. More into baileys right now though, it kinda fits the wintery thee more. 🤔
I dearly wish Apple would condense some of the voiceover feedback into fewer words. "stopping Braille Screen Input" takes 6 syllables when "Braille Screen Input off" although only marginally gker to say is better. Syllables cost time. That being said I'm going to see if I can find the setting to just have it play the noise and not speak going in or out of BSI. And I really wish iPhone wouldn't confuse my rotor gesture as starting up help! #iPhone#VoiceOver#Accessibility
Morning all. Feeling pretty ropy, but I have a friend coming over at midday to see me who's come up from Reading for the weekend and we're having massages later and going for an indian. Come on Coley, get your shit together! Listening to Ultimate Radio's Scandinavian music countdown thingy. Those who knew me in my schooldays will tell you I had a serious phase of being nuts about anything Swedish. I was embarrassed about all my obsessions up until literally a few days ago. But seeing my Mum again after at least 10 years has really helped me lay that feeling to rest. Now "I recognise that what people used to call obsessions are a part of autism, which I'm pretty certain I have. Lets see how long my effort to update you guys more often lasts lol.
