While I’m sharing woodworking presents, here’s a walnut serving tray for my sister that I’m pretty proud of. First bookmatch (resawed it mostly by hand…I need a bandsaw), and I had fun with the contrasting maple splines.
About to wrap my first end grain cutting board, a gift for my parents. Made with leftover maple flooring from their house, plus a cherry and walnut border, finished with tung oil. Made a LOT of mistakes with this, but overall I’m pretty happy with how it turned out!
I set up a test Mastodon server last night only for it to run out disk space overnight due to federation. Seems like I need to spend some time learning how this all works before I use my own instance for real.

Anyone know of a good technical overview of how Mastodon works? More specifically, I’m curious how all the servers talk to each other for searching/following hashtags, etc.
