@overcastfm 2 more months and we will get full feature parity from June.
@viticci haven’t you read the news from Gruber? The fun side is not in the EU, you can’t use the stupid AI generator.
@gruber I think you are viewing the whole EU stuff with a very narrow “everything I have is Apple, suits me well and should everyone else too”. Kids playing Fortnite even in the EU only may be bigger market than how many will use the mirroring (you need a recent Mac and exclude everyone who is in EU). BlackBerry Access btw is a byod secure browser, it is popular in those 3 countries as Global (USA) firms have employees in those countries and have to use it to reach corporate network without VPN. Also you are against the volume control for Sonos. It also does it for HomePods, guess where the idea got inspired from as Airplay 1 was as dumb as a rock. And as for Siri and Apple Inteligence, since it is not available in many languages we speak in the EU actually replacing it from being a default to something having a native speaking assistant and LLM would make a difference. None of the above would make your experience worse but would/will make ours, and could make other NonEU citizens as well who actually use products which are not just hobby for Apple.
@viticci great to see EU sticking it to them. Finally. Apple being so high on their supply with the bullshit CTF followed by only applying this in the first place to iOS only and only in EU. Craig and Joswiak banding backwards to explain why this in EU only as it harms users. Bullshit. And the fact they now allow emulators for retro game consoles is just icing on the cake. I hope they collect the fine, EU countries will be gladly spending Apples greedy money on development. Sent from my iPhone, love from EU!
@viticci @macstories I’m Hungarian at Heathrow right now. can’t install as physically I’m outside of EU. Guess I know what I’m doing first thing after my plane lands in Budapest.

“I was photographing this big male polar bear in Svalbard, when suddenly he rapidly started to walk in our direction. We didn’t have time to pack up all our gear and quickly hopped on our snowmobiles and drove away, leaving our gear behind. The bear approached the cameras and tried to look through the viewfinder, licked the back of the camera and went away, continuing his path. Perhaps he was just curious to see what all the fuss is about .. "

The time some guy named Josh Gruber tried to badger me into selling him my Instagram account handle for $50.
I wonder if the Vision Pro's EyeSight feature will work at night. If so my favorite new activity will be walking into the pitch black bedroom with only my glowing eyes visible to terrify your partner
@jsnell no matter what incidents happen, EU won’t care
@viticci now I’m wondering how many developers are going to reduce their prices here or are they going to just eat up the 13% alltogether
