Extremely dull person in the East Bay region of California. More interested in a better Facebook than a better Twitter, but I guess I’ll try this anyway.

Got a nice up-close look at Tally Ho yesterday!
Pretty much at peak garden bloom here in #Oakland.
You know you're pretty far down the rabbit hole when you're like oh boy Cryptantha I'm so lucky to be alive in this the best of all possible worlds
Who owns the parcels that contain surface rail tracks in the #EastBay?
Las Trampas was gloriously full of life and devoid of people yesterday. One of my favorite #EastBay parks, especially when it offers up hail and rainbows!

Beautiful afternoon in the tide pools near Pescadero yesterday. Bonus, ochre and bat stars were approaching beforetimes densities!

Photos: sunset; Three-colored Top Shell; Monterey Dorid; Bat Star.

Western leatherwood putting on a show today in the #Oakland hills. This species occurs only in the #BayArea and the running theory is that its pollinator is extinct, so give it some love if you run into it on the trail. It's been doing its thing here in the Bay for a lot longer than humans have.
#NYC delivery ebike gloves are intense. Where do you buy them? Why are they so big? How are they attached to the handle bars?
Friends of #Oakland, I present to you our neighbor, the earshell slug, met while taking a turn about my tiny yard this evening. Yes, it's another European colonizer like most slugs and many people in our city, but unlike your milk slug or your leopard slug, this slug isn't here to eat your veggies: it dines on other slugs. Bonus: it wears a tiny shell on the end of its tail at what might even be called a jaunty angle. If you, too, chance to meet the earshell slug, please say hello.
Some native perennials appearing in my #Oakland garden (I guess some have been slowly appearing for weeks now).
