It is a personal tragedy. It shows very much the similarities between your analog and digital private belongings. Just imagine you would store your analog treasures in a unknown storage place and you only get access to your stuff at the front desk. Wired.
We have to learn: digital souveranity is as important as it is in the analog world. I can personally recommend independently hosted instances of Nextcloud. https://nextcloud.com/
Just a short intro. I'm a physicist who is working with mid infrared spectroscopy. I have founded IRUBIS together with my co-founders. We have developed Monipa, a MIR spectroscopy based device for USP & DSP processes. We focus on applications in the biopharmaceuticals industry. It is a lot of fun to work on problems that are hard. Spectroscopy is so powerful.
