@moira That’s totally valid. I’m with you, as much as I’ve enjoyed OWL, Blizzard has definitely made some decisions in favor of it that were detrimental for most players.
Hopefully this move will lead to a more vibrant and open pro scene too.
The Overwatch League, at least in its current city-based franchise format, is done. Sad that it’s over, but I’m optimistic about the future of Overwatch esports.
A more open ecosystem could lead to a healthier ecosystem for players and orgs, and more classic underdog stories.
