I came across a facebook meme that included this image of Earth from space and it turns out that it's widespread across the internet as a generic "earth" option on free stock image sites and while it's clearly rotated with north on the left I'm pretty sure it's also mirrored (Americas on the top, Europe bottom-left and Africa bottom-right) so it would be impossible to have this view in real life without looking in a mirror. I wonder how this image came to be like this.
