KM3NeT is a neutrino telescope with two detectors - ARCA and ORCA - at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea. It is also an international consortium of research institutes and university groups collaborating to operate the two detectors - www.km3net.org
Wow! 🤩 Look at this very nice brand-new representation of our #neutrino detector. It shows real #KM3NeT #data from the Mediterranean #deepsea in a huge physical event display in the #hallway of the #Nikhef institute in Amsterdam, The Netherlands
The ladder gives an impression of the height of display.
Yes! we have installed a second 'node' for connection of detection units in the #ORCA seafloor network! A complex operation executed by ship crews, ROV operators and dedicated #KM3NeT teams on board and in the control station on the shore.
