Will be diving into #DMR soon. I have a cousin-in-law who is deep into it and now that I have enjoyed AllStarLink for a few months, it feels like it is time. Any hints or guides? In the past, I have found codeplugs entirely, supremely unintuitive, so I will be overcoming some negative bias on this particular journey.

Got a bit tired of Win 11 today so I installed Linux Mint in a VirtualBox VM. I'll work with that for a while before deciding whether to go all in on a Linux desktop.

With data I/O, seems like it could make a solid APRS platform with a TNC (http://www.mobilinkd.com/ maybe?) and a GPS receiver. I do rather like the idea you mentioned on the #HamRadioWorkbench podcast of adapting SOAR as a control module for a radio like this. Great stuff!
