Got my "congrats on surviving 2025" card from @tux_kate this week, and haven't managed to post about it or even say thank you, because I was ill and life and death just keep happening very much around me. But precisely because I was feeling like total shit, getting this was such a balm! Turns out what you need to pick you up when you're in the doldrums is a hand written card containing beautiful seasons greetings and two delightful fic snippets, who knew? Thank you tux for being a jewel and making everyone's life better, I hope you have a wonderful year of the horse! 💚🐎💚
I love Glasgow so much.
early Christmas present for meeeee! Can’t wait to get into this, so many smart words by so many smart people 🤩🤩🤩

Ren Hang book arrived! These pictures are insane and I love them

Walked from Balloch to Helensburgh today, and it was glorious. I almost didn’t bother, as first I accidentally slept in, then I was worried (this shows that I’m basically a fully naturalised Scot now) “hm, maybe 23 degrees is too hot for exercise outdoors” 😂. But I’m so very glad I went. I saw a thousand orange tip butterflies, and a very funky caterpillar crossed my path, and I heard the cuckoo call! And the views across both Loch Lomond and the Clyde were fantastic.
It’s VE Day, so thanks allies, for the liberation from fascism! Isn’t it funny that, eighty years later, at least one of those allies is decidedly rowing back on that whole “antifascism” stance…
