Packing to move from the house I've lived in for nearly 30 years is a lot of work. Looking forward to the new house, though.

Have you heard about this wonderful 9-year-old citizen #scientist who serviced the world by not only stomping out invasive, dangerous #lanternflies but also collecting samples for research?

...complaining of a "little Black woman, walking and spraying stuff on the sidewalks and trees”

Well, happy ending-- Bobbi was later recognized by Yale for her efforts (see image below) 🎉

Of the incident, her mother said, "“I wanted it to be a teachable moment. This same call could’ve happened in another state with another police officer, and I would be grieving.”

Someone Called the Police on a Girl Catching Lanternflies. Then Yale Honored Her.

Bobbi Wilson, 9, was hunting for spotted lanternflies, an invasive species, in New Jersey. A neighbor called the police, but her effort has since earned recognition “from far and wide,” her mother said.

This place is essentially broken for me, because no images will load either on two web browsers or my iPhone. I used to be able to click the image and open in a new tab on the PC, but now I'm getting blocked from that because it's seen as a "dangerous website." I'll keep checking back to see if it's fixed, but can't really participate with this mess of broken images taking up most of every page.
Anyone know why all my inline images are broken? I haven't changed any settings, and I can see the images if I open them in a new tab. This on both Chrome and Edge browsers, as well as Metatext on iOS. These aren't hidden, sensitive images, just every image.

I’m furious at ActivisionBlizzard for being so reprehensible I can’t in good conscience give them my money, which means I’m shut out of the game where I spent actual years of my life and that feels like home.
A group of feral cats in my neighborhood has adopted an opossum.

As the year closes out, I'm regretting not more consistently putting my for-sale art out in the world. Walking away from twitter is a big wound in my already limited footprint for selling stuff.

So, hey! I have a lot of original linocut prints, plotter drawings, and watercolor paintings available for sale at reasonable prices on my store. Maybe you can close out the year by picking some things up for yourself or someone else, or getting the word out.
