This just popped into one of my feeds - I think that it's a great story about a someone meeting the man.

In May this year, Peter Hendy pressured my now-former employer Systra to sack me by threatening them.

Why did he do this? Because I'd highlighted safety and accessibility issues at Euston station. He is unfit for office and should resign.

Holy shit, the Rijksmuseum used a 100MP Hasselblad camera to take almost eight and a half THOUSAND photos of the whole of Rembrandt's The Night Watch, for a total image size of 717 GIGAPIXELS. 😳

It's on their website as a zoomable image and you can zoom in so far you can see the individual cracks in the paint: https://www.rijksmuseum.nl/en/stories/operation-night-watch/story/ultra-high-resolution-photo

Ultra high resolution photo

The Rijksmuseum published the largest and most detailed ever photograph of The Night Watch on its website, making it possible to zoom in on individual brushstrokes and even particles of pigment in the painting.

And, sitting in the coin bucket was a single coin; a quarter dated 1983.”

Centuri Aztarac: Finding THE Holy Arcade Grail…

Let me start by saying that this is the most amazingly poignant tale I’ve come across in arcade collecting circles. I’ve written before about incredible rare arcade “finds” …

Long shot: My mom lost one of her favourite silver earrings somewhere between Dublin's Heuston Station - on the train - Tralee. They look like the one below and were made by the Reaching Out social enterprise in Hoi An, Vietnam. If spotted, let me know! Shares appreciated
@apahl Welcome aboard!

at this point, I am looking for any remote work that isn't phone-based customer service.

I have almost 10 years of experience as a full-stack engineer. I worked in customer service and tech support for years; I'm good with people and users, just would really prefer to not be on a phone doing customer service all day. I have experience in manual and automated QA, experience in PMing, I've worked in edtech and in PII, I've done one-off freelance work and I've been a teammate at Fortune 500 companies. I have a lot of experience in mentorship, in public speaking, in process iterations on teams, in working on accessibility.

I am dedicated, hardworking, and I care very deeply about my users and my team. I would love to work for you (or, if you know of any companies that are hiring for remote workers, please let me know!)

(edit: I'm in the US, happy to work in any US timezone)

boosts appreciated!
