Watched Kenneth Branagh's A Haunting in Venice yesterday and it suffers from great acting and a weak resolution. A one time watch if you go in without expecting too much.
A movie that relies a lot on character building which goes to waste with the end revelation. Shot and acted well, it felt that the story coudl've used a better treatment for the ending. Not a bad movie by any means but it's damned to be forgettable because of its weak dramatic resolution. Kenneth Branagh is not so convincing as Hercule Poirot but still he makes meat of the character. A one time watch if you walk in without expecting too much.
Did a little meditation on how to write a hard-boiled detective show.
