We met up in London during the Xmas hols to wander around town together.
Although we were both pretty ‘out’ for that time, we wouldn’t have had the courage to hold hands.
When the time came for us to say goodbye, we slipped into a photo booth, in part so that we would have some record of the day (no camera phones) but mainly because we wanted to have the opportunity to kiss.
To kiss in public back then would have risked arrest.
