I don’t know why I imaged this ending differently. #starlink was a great service for the year I had roam 10 gig and it just got shittier. First they forced roam 10 gig to a borderline unusable standby mode for $5/month and removed the ability to pause/resume. Then standby mode stopped working in motion because apparently each dish has some form of accelerometer?Today they doubled the price of standby mode. Padding the #IPO I suppose, go check the second hand hardware market before you invest.

There is no such thing as "lawful access" - once the backdoor is there, it will be used without oversight the second it's in place. There is literally not one example in all of (recent) history of "lawful access" bills leading to anything other than this.
