Good read by @doctorow @pluralistic “The Causes of and Responses to Today’s Inflation,"…by Nobel-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz and macroeconomist Regmi Ira…compare[s] monetary policy inflation remedies to medieval bloodletting, where "doctors" did "more of the same when their therapy failed until the patient either had a miraculous recovery (for which the bloodletters took credit) or died (which was more likely)."
Things I often think about regarding the status quo approach to social media:
1. Why do "likes" have to validate the existence of anything?
2. Why can't I share something regardless of whether or not someone likes it?
3. Why do I need to build clout?
4. Why does the act of being social have to be a game?
5. Why not make art simply because it's art?

Listening to Sam Harris' recent podcast w/Andreessen was a full blown fascist-valley-TechBro-palooza. Marc's gone full Sith. https://www.samharris.org/podcasts/making-sense-episodes/290-what-went-wrong
Waze remains one of the most egregiously invasive personal behaviour #surveillance services that #Google offers and Noam remains loosey-goosey on #privacy rights.
