@timhutton that's outstanding, thanks so much!

If you download your #Twitter archive it arrives wrapped as a static HTML page, which is not very useful for doing anything with, and worse: it requires the original account to be still active to do useful things like enlarge the images since they use t.co links.

So here's a #Python script to convert a Twitter archive to #markdown or other formats: https://github.com/timhutton/twitter-archive-parser

Now you can archive your tweets in any way you want.

@Zed_Czar no matter how smart your dogs are they cannot resist the urge to bark at skunks. Joe got it right in the mouth once.
@Zed_Czar when we were in Cali we had possums in the fig tree, teamed up with skunks on the ground to make sure we kept the dogs inside. You have not lived until you’ve dealt with a 3am skunking!

@kentbrew @tinker yes, you should have your DNS updated pointing to your droplet already. Part of the reason for this is that SSL certificates by Let's Encrypt will be setup and if the DNS isn't setup the SSL certs can't be setup/validated.
@tim @tinker thanks!

@tim @tinker my tiny neophyte brain is choking on the usage of the word "should" on https://marketplace.digitalocean.com/apps/mastodon:

"Domain name (the DNS records should already point to the droplet)"

Does this mean that the setup process should already have done this for me, or does it mean I should have already pointed DNS to the droplet?

@tinker @kentbrew I too am hosting my instance on DO, and they just updated their 1-Click with the latest version of Mastodon as well.
