In #JapaneseFolklore, yogen no tori is a bird of prophecy that resembles a two-headed crow with one white head and one black head. They have the ability to speak, and appear as messengers of the gods to deliver important information to humanity, including warnings about epidemics. As a sacred bird even the image of yogen no tori can keep evil disease-causing spirits away, and looking at its picture is said to protect you from harm.
