A thought I had last night re: Mastodon vs. Twitter: I started on Twitter to follow reporters and publications because I had a page budget to fill on my own paper and it made sense to keep track of breaking news. On Mastodon... where does the news come from?

@feld well, what I mean is, news posted by news outlets and professional journalists on social media.
