@id1om Thank you. I wasn’t. At least not directly.
I haven’t been on this app in a very long time, so I’m not sure I’m doing this right, but please read this great thread by @cricketcrocker about misleading jargon in med bio. https://spore.social/@cricketcrocker/111341761552293326

So...this is misinformation (nobody is intending to mislead others, but it still is). Remember--it's dangerous to boost without caveats. This article IS NOT REPORTING that we know anything about how to know whether a currently healthy person will get long covid. The headline "Biomarker discovery boosts long covid prediction accuracy to 78.5%" would make you think it was, though, right? Let's talk about this. #covid19 #longCovid https://aus.social/@DenisCOVIDinfoguy/111339331281658508

@sbi @mcc ahhhh I see. Thank you.
@sbi @mcc I’m surprised just @kejames works. What if there were at-kejames-es on other instances?
@sbi @mcc oh that’s fine!
@mcc @sbi FTR I have not been to space; I’m just a big space geek and scientist with space connections. I’m trying to make that clear everywhere this thread gets traction.
@dagdrivaren Mastodon online was just a spur of the moment choice. I’ve had problems with it being slow, and also have read advice threads/posts recommending smaller instances. Also I’d like one with a bit more regulation.
Happy #caturday, Mastodon peeps, I’m going to try and spend more time over here; will probably move to a new instance soon. Just checking in for now.
