#SupportOurScience UBC arriving at the plaza in front of the Koerner library which houses the Adminstration offices.

Better funding for grad students and post-docs should be a priority for Canadian science funding.

This means more in direct fellowships and more for grants for faculty to be able to support our students properly.

Support Our Science
fired up from learning about protected area work from around the workd at #impac5 ! I'll be presenting (Wed) with Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society on implementing a #justtransition towards a blue #conservation economy in Canada. 11:30 in room 109 🐋
Finally decided to send an #intro toot! I'm an ecology PhD candidate @ UBC. I use theory development & experiments to understand how temperature & body size will drive #biodiversity change under #climatechange. I'm extending Metabolic Theory to describe the mass & temperature dependence of metacommunity dynamics, & testing the theory in amphipod communities. On the side I do contracts w/ Canadian ENGOs researching #equitable biodiversity conservation policies. Loving the community here so far 🤩
