Hey do those things work? I just had a beautiful new floor installed which seems to show every dusty footstep and thought the roomba would be a solution.

@jawarajabbi @malwaretech I have wooden tile floors, two dogs ... it works well ... but I spent the extra money for hte self-cleaning one ...

@jawarajabbi I haven't ever had a floor that shows dust easily, but they do a good job of keeping the floor clean between full vacuuming. It just helps if you get a high end one and install under furniture blockers, otherwise they tend to blow dust under furniture.

@jawarajabbi @malwaretech Decently. They are not a substitute for a real vacuum when you're deep cleaning, but they do a decent job of keeping things clean day to day. I'll maintain and run a robot more often than I'll clean, too.

On the unexpected side, they are ferocious dust bunny predators. Under the couch and under the bed are as clean as the middle of the hall.

@malwaretech man, I know that life. Is it really impossible to make a robot vac that can handle moderate pet hair? And by moderate I mean 2 pugs and 2 cats. Doesn't seem like so much to ask.

@malwaretech Must've been an Elfur, and those are really hard to track down. They're notorious for clandestine round trips on Roombas while cloaked, though ...
