@nullagent I'd prefer if they didn't pretend. I'd be happy enough with it as an entirely unencrypted and unauthenticated protocol, but when they go putting little padlock icons on everything (and a ⚠️ on public chats!) it sets false expectations.
@BorrisInABox it's S9+ full quieting here, about 12 miles from the tower :)
@BorrisInABox yeah, as of 12:28 it's not on. Nothing heard in Allendale or New Milford.

Oh right, I have a Mastodon thingy.

I'm writing a GUI app for Flex 6000/8000 radios (a "SmartSDR clone") that will run on Linux, both on desktop and Raspberry Pi sorts of devices.

It's called Minstrel and while it's early alpha it already does some things. I'm looking for feedback and collaborators.

@M0YNG must be the letters in the callsign.

I have no idea how old you are but I'm under-40, employed, married with a 3-year-old, and hamming it up.

Everyone is responsible for their own enjoyment of the hobby. When that stops being true, it stops being a hobby.

@rjbs I didn't even notice that the `needs` context existed until you mentioned it... but the doc says that the entries in `needs` refer to *jobs*, not *steps*. So, `steps` to refer to previous steps in the same job, and `needs` to refer to another job if you have a declared dependency on it.
Raise your hand if you ever made a paper snake out of tear-off tractor-feed margins.
@wallingf Perl's is YACC (perly.y), but the lexer isn't lex. It's 13,000 lines of handwritten code (toke.c), which is bigger than a lot of people's "hand-written parsers", and in fact contains what could probably be called several mini-parsers.
Will be active POTA K-4999 (Stokes State Forest NJ) all week May 8-14. At some point I'll go up Sunrise Mountain and do a 2fer K-4999 + K-4556NJ. May also visit K-3379 / SOTA W2/NJ-003.
