15 meter ham radio band was collapsing for me but a station in Korea and I managed to eke out a quick contact. I can hear the Easter Island special event station too but haven't been able to raise a reply on 17 m.

What's this? Oh, nothing much. Just KICAD VERSION 9RC2 dropped! We are only a couple weeks away from the final release. Test out the nightly builds now and see if you can find any showstoppers that we can fix before that happens.

Does anyone know of any good training videos on #HamRadio for someone without much analog electronics experience?  #radio
I fancy having a go at building a synchronous AM detector radio.
I found a cheap AM radio kit on eBay, so I'll build the front of it - tuner, mixer oscillator and first IF, then add my own detector stage and audio amp.
Might be interesting to build it to switch between standard detector in the kit and my stage to see how they compare.
I should at least set up for RX on 6m CW, SSB and perhaps FM. #hamradio
i was looking at the Wikipedia list of 7400 chips (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_7400-series_integrated_circuits) and noticed some really unusual devices.🧵

I can't find what I want online and that rather makes me miss the days when I could walk to Radio Shack and not find what I want there instead. #electronics
Never mind, I found 3.7V, which will work.
