Only a few more days until another round of #UCUstrikes (UK university staff strikes) over pensions, pay, workload, casualisation and the gender and race pay gap. Particularly great to hear some universities (not ours unfortunately) have #UCU #Unite and #Unison out all together which makes a huge difference to solidarity between professional services staff and academics. As always (in my opinion) we need to link these struggles with our #ScholarlyCommunications and #OpenAccess demands (an end to APCs, an end to prestige publishing, rewarding openness etc).
