@maize I do recording/composing/producing with reaper on Linux as a hobby. Currently I'm mixing a 18 track live recording of the choir I'm singing in, which is quite an adventure for me, before I mainly tracked and mixed my own stuff. I play a bit guitar, bass, drums/Percussion, keys and I attempt to beatbox now and then, sometimes I even song into microphones. I'm definitely not a pro but I love chatting about music production and especially reaper, so if you want, let's keep in touch 😀

Woah - German government has got its own Mastodon instance and most of the ministries and many agencies already have accounts.
Verification problem at least partially solved - just need to check the domain is right!
I've also seen newspapers like theatlantic.com set up instances themselves. Looks like verification will be worked out sooner or later.

@Felicea Diese Abhängig von Anbietern, um sein Klientel zu erreichen, könnte auch der Grund sein, warum das Medium E-Mail-Newsletter allen technischen Unzulänglichkeiten zum Trotz immer noch existiert und zum Teil auch sehr aktiv beworben wird.

Ok, Mastodon is officially a lot more awesome than I had realised. There's a federated server for everyone who's really into bitcoin, and, yes, it is full of people who are as awful as you can imagine. But, with one click, you can block the entire domain! 12.8k thousand crypto weirdos filtered out in a click. Amazing.
