@BenGoldman Old school players are already using 3d6 for stats, why not just use 3d6 for the nice 3-18 bell curve?
@Flicker53 Get one that changes color. That way if someone is like "some jedi with a green saber cut off my hand!" you can just swap and be like "IDK, pal, mine's red..."

Today is not a good day for the #gnomesfools

@host

My meatspace gender is no secret, and it'll come up in context sooner or later, but it's also not something I want to wear as a flag.

I date back far enough on the internet that being an unlabeled packet of electrons meant safety. I don't want to be unsupportive of people who find declared pronouns and normalization of declared pronouns to be their feeling of safety, but I can't declare in my profile without giving up my own.

@host

Pronoun declaration is a thorny issue for me.

I chose the "Kit" part of my online presence specifically because it can read male or female.

In person I am unambiguously cis and don't mind wearing a tag out of solidarity because it's obvious anyway. Online, I prefer to let assumptions fall as they may. I am just prescriptive enough not to claim 'they' for myself (though I'll respect the wishes of those who do choose it), which leaves me...

@wizardpedia give me a familiar
@host Thanks for the reminder.
@pandybird We used to have a regular Star Trek Paintball LARP, one Spring and one Fall, in the Poconos. It ran from the late 90's into the mid aughts. We usually had missions to complete, so there'd be props like "data chips" on the field we'd need to get to a "control panel". Even then, I was a lousy shot, so I played a medic. Because phasers "stun", a medic could get a player back up and into the game.
@pandybird You should have seen some of the stuff that he made back when we used to play Star Trek Paintball ;)
@pandybird Also there's improv like this. He took a knife to some styrofoam and painted it to make ice floes for us. (The commentary is from me, using PicsArt) And that pirate ship came from a kid's Playmobile set, I think.
