@dalecoop SO COOL!

@valorin If you can go to Oxford, it's worth it for the Academia feeling (and I also read on your profile you are a Tolkien Fan). The buildings are nice, a couple of museums worth seeing. The Pitt Rivers Museum is fun to go to with children, they can touch things.

In case you want to go further, you can also go to the Costwolds.

Have fun :)

@andy_warb This is cool :)
@jhpot I'm sure it is. I ended up here because someone wrote a piece a couple of days ago on Le Monde (French newspaper). I'm confident that with the traction Wired has, your article will be helpful to a lot of people. 😀

@jhpot Nice article :) I will definitely share this with my friends when they ask about #Mastodon

"For example, if I were sharing a nude picture of myself I could write the content warning “nude pasty white dude.” Anyone who wants to see me, for some reason, can click to do so, but everyone else is spared." 😂 This was fun.

WIRED just published my beginner's guide to Mastodon! Thank you to the 100+ people who responded to my request for tips and advice for understanding the culture here. https://www.wired.com/story/how-to-get-started-use-mastodon/
@beatrice agree. ☔️
@beatrice the book is amazing. I’m halfway through it. If you like reading and these questions about social media and freedom, It’s worth looking at.
Social media is amazing but sometimes it separates people and all we can see is hate. Money is obviously something big, mostly because of #ads
@leigh this is very nice :)
@beatrice agree. I’m reading An ugly truth. Book about #facebook and their data/security problems. One point they try to make is freedom of speech… but we know what happens on social media when there is no regulation at all.
