She’s a talented artist. For a time when she was younger she scored her dream job restoring vintage wooden carousel horses, and went on to do beautiful colored pencil drawings of them with fantasy backgrounds based on their backstories and ornamentation. She’s fuckin awesome.

She’s normally a phenomenal speller (she devours books), so this was very out of character for her. Luckily she’s also happy to laugh at herself. One of the many things I absolutely adore about her.

As a 10 year old kid I thought this was incredible. I remember starting a whole Myst-like point and click puzzler in the short time I got to play with it. Sadly I didn’t get very far as we didn’t have a mac at home (it was on a Mac at my mom’s work), but it made a big impression on me.

My mom fucked up a cake she made for my niece about 10 years ago, and we’ve made sure to tell her “Happy Birtday” every year since
