Have to totally agree with this article. As Oul Blue eyes put it - Start spreading da news - The Expanse is - A number one -Top of the list - King of the hill - A number one.
Its also the the show with the most kick-ass women characters I've seen in any TV show. So also recommended for little girls looking for kick-ass female roll models. I've watched it a few times. And will do so again. It's that good.

Best. Science. Fiction. Show. Ever.

"The Expanse" is the best vision I've ever seen of a space-faring future that may be just a few generations away.

Guy kills five neighbors including a child because they ask him to stop scaring the kids with his machine gun. My brother is at Safeway yesterday and a guy pulled a gun on another guy inside the store because of a parking lot beef. Like. This is terrorism. I am terrified. No one wants to live like this!!!!

Gun deaths is now the top cause of death for children and teens under 18 in the USA.

Reading Andy Weir's latest science fiction novel, Project Hail Mary, and it's excellent. Without giving you too many spoilers, something is threatening the end of all life and the main character is on a suicide mission to avert it. Lots of science, but delightfully easy to read.

What I'm particularly pleased about: this is the first fiction I've read since COVID began that isn't a sequel or something I've read before. For some reason the pandemic stress created a cognitive hurdle for fiction; instead I have read many, many great non-fiction books, often about travel.

Great to be reading new fiction again. Particularly science fiction, the most thought-provoking of the genres IMO.

Read these #books for an all-too-human heroine in an interesting situation, not for a well-constructed whodunnit.

Dennis Fischman's review of The Flower Master (Rei Shimura #3)

3/5: Honestly, somewhere in the middle of the book I was so engrossed with the drama in the Shimura family and the Kayama family, the politics around flowers and pesticides, and the tension between Rei and her gay best friend Richard that I sort of forgot about who was killed and how, let alone why. When I found out, I didn't believe it and I didn't care. Read these books for an all-too-human heroine in an interesting situation, not for a well-constructed whodunnit.

Just finished Project Hail Mary. Fun, entertaining and optimistic. After Cixin Liu’s deep and sobering (and genius) trilogy, this was a welcome change.
