Bingeworthy gets some attention
Next up — I'm working on Bingeworthy 3.
It's basically fully ported away from Twitter identity, and also the database got rewritten because I know a lot more about SQL than when I wrote it five years ago. But the user interface code is exactly as it was.
Some features are missing, because they only make sense if there are a few hundred users or more. When and if it sees that kind of use in the future it'll make sense to convert them too.
There's one final step before I can move on, and start building stuff around it, assuming that it exists. Bingeworthy is going to be like the MacWrite or MacPaint of the new ecosystem I'm envisioning built as cousins to WordLand. I will explain as we go.
Anyway this has meant buckling down and using the same identity system as WordLand. It was written to use another system that I wrote that I'm pretty sure I don't need. So that's what remains to be done on Bingeworthy. I am optimistic that I can get it done before Wednesday. 😄
But. There's still some question as to whether or not it's approachable in such a short timeframe. I tend to oversimplify these kinds of changes, even when, at this point when there is no installed base to worry about.
MAGA killed this woman.
That’s the short of it. It’s not an exaggeration. It’s just the fact of the matter. And she’s not the only one.

It took three ER visits and 20 hours before a hospital admitted Nevaeh Crain, 18, as her condition worsened. Doctors insisted on two ultrasounds to confirm “fetal demise.” She’s one of at least two Texas women who died under the state’s abortion ban.
