@stefan @pahoittelemme @rolle I did try and look it up I searched for public posts across the fediverse and couldn’t find anything that’s how I stumbled upon your post.

You shouldn’t assume someone hasn’t done something when in fact they could have and in this case have done so.

@stefan @pahoittelemme @rolle I don’t see an issue with the culture here, fedi admins do a great job of having instances talk to one another blocking the bad ones but you will get some bad eggs on any server which is unavoidable unfortunately.

That’s why we have block and report tools for those bad eggs.

I don’t want to support them for the very same reasons as you plus they went in with the age verification crap not to mention I want to control who can see and reply to my content which I want to strictly be only fedi users.

@wackJackle I don’t agree with the statement here and the treatment of transgender people.

Transgender people do suffer from a mental illness and that is fact but if they are happy with their transition to another gender and it doesn’t harm anyone then there is no problem as they should have the right to do what they wish with their own bodies.

@flup usually server side changes so encrypted email providers aren’t possible so they have their own apps as you found out.

I don’t understand the technical details on why the encrypted email providers don’t work with it but it’s how the encryption protocol is if I’m not mistaken but everything that isn’t end to end is always encrypted in transit and at rest (you’d hope) so fastmail should be able to be set up like iCloud mail and calendar would normally work for iCloud.com addresses.

How the iOS calendar is designed it only really works with Google, Microsoft offerings.

Not to mention with encrypted email providers you won’t be able to because that would mean compromising the encryption.
