@Edent Makes complete sense. I guess I'd just never considered that would be fine on a type G plug too, but no reason why not I suppose!
@Edent I love the idea of this, but the suicide plug on the end scares me. Assuming they have some pretty quick cutoff times or something in case you pull the plug out?
@ben it seems like I have to do this same song and dance twice a year 🫠
@jamesravey oh definitely, not to mention the exponent of the length of time until the shops close.
I'm coming to the conclusion that the number of trips to B&Q required for a DIY job is somehow inversely proportional to the amount of time you have to do it.
@adafruit @arduino @claudeai I got Claude code to write a python testing tool for a Pico 2W project I'm working on. It connects to the MQTT broker and listens to the debug probe UART so I can check that it connects to WiFi, the broker and decodes payloads correctly with every build. I'd never be bothered to build it myself, but only took Claude code 30mins to throw together. Really useful stuff!
@katemorley Somewhere in my garage I have some spray cans labelled: Umpire chair green (Centre & No. 1 court) and Umpire chair green (outside courts). I got them mixed up once, never again! 😅

The depressing thing about the modern "AI" situation is it didn't need to go this way. Art "AI" is a usless toy, but LLMs do have very specific use cases where they could be useful. But corporations decide to ignore usefulness and instead lean into annoying lie machines that do people's homework and cause brain damage.

LLMs have very specific niche useful areas, but they aren't profitable so it's now just shoved into everything as usless garbage that makes everything worse.

@jamesravey Congratulations! That's amazing news! Wishing you all the best and a speedy recovery for Mum and B!
Today I am trying to debug legacy code, authentication and nodejs in unideal conditions. The rubber duck has run away and I'm considering a life devoid of technology, preferably in a cave. It's not even 11am. ðŸ«
