I find it weird that we've normalized spyware. My credit card companies keep emailing me to install their browser extensions. Honey was advertised by all those podcasters and youtubers until it turned out they were stealing the referrals on sales (and explicitly not delivering the best coupons.)

@AKPAB @anildash @Steve8282 If I had to guess, increasing vehicle weight, super high front ends on newer trucks and SUVs, and then the anecdotal "people have been driving like maniacs the last few years" thing.
