@jessicaekomane Many people do both, because each has their own benefit. Meshcore is not completely decentralized (you depend on people setting up repeaters and taking care of them), but seems to be way faster and more stable from what I see here. I got interested in Meshcore after I found out it is actually prohibited to mention it on r/meshtastic lol
@jessicaekomane I am experimenting with Meshcore too! Seems way faster and active than Meshtastic in Slovakia. But the downside is that it is not really a “mesh” in a sense of everyone being a relay for others. Also it doesn’t support ATAK, which is super useful for disaster-type situations.
I talked (in Slovak) about our latest exhibition "The Man Has Emerged Triumphant" and accompanied field recordings at Rádio Devín: https://devin.stvr.sk/clanky/kulturny-dennik/433419/projekt-mateja-gavulu-a-jonasa-grusku-s-nazvom-clovek-zvitazil-arena-jana-medlena
After almost two years of work, last Friday we have opened a new exhibition with Matej Gavula in tranzit.sk gallery in Bratislava.
You can read an associated text about the history and some of my thoughts on oil extraction in western Slovakia here: https://jonasgru.sk/.../Man+Has+Emerged+Triumphant+(essay)
The exhibition will be open till 27th of March.
