@zipkid Well firstly : it works, and not only between two devices inside my home. Which could also be due to the fact that there is a repeater in my area (I remember the number of other nodes being close to none about a year ago). And then the #meshcore app is also much better designed and intuitive for someone who’s not technically well-versed in that domain… those have been my observations so far. Looking forward to try #reticulum at some point once they are further in the development also…

@jessicaekomane yes, onto #reticulum here too. So far it works, but i have not grasped how or why yet 😅

@zipkid @jessicaekomane same here. Meshcore running well with a very active community in my region. Just started exploring reticulum by using the Columba app

@jessicaekomane I am experimenting with Meshcore too! Seems way faster and active than Meshtastic in Slovakia. But the downside is that it is not really a “mesh” in a sense of everyone being a relay for others. Also it doesn’t support ATAK, which is super useful for disaster-type situations.

@jonas Oh right, I shall keep both of my nodes up. I hadn’t thought of ATAK as a possibility, one more thing to check… additionally I did end up buying a small Tecsun with the purpose of starting short wave listening though, as living in the same room as a big broadcasting antenna doesn’t seem reasonable just yet.
