Fellow AI skeptics, please slow your roll on the "your brain on chatgpt" study and please think about base rate fallacy a little bit here.

If you, like me, do not know anything about what typical EEGs look like, then citing a bunch of EEGs that appear to prove our point is not science, it's argument-from-anomaly conspiracy theorizing. "A-ha! This thing, that I know nothing about, looks weird to me!"

I visited this fascinating Museum of Games and Computers in Wroclaw yesterday. Computer games are not my thing; I build/fix/code, however I found the displays excellent and a trip down memory lane. I even played Pac-Man on a C64! Now if they had a working Sinclair ZX80 and I could play mutant camels off cassette, I would have been even more impressed. They even had removable disks for mini/mainframe computers!

On my way to a #parkrun outside of Australia/NZ in beautiful Vienna with the luxury of a 9am start! As a train nerd I am enjoying the train trips to get there.

Time for, well, not a distraction so much as a palate cleanser: a truly phenomenal shot from Hubble of a galaxy that is rippling like a pond that had a rock tossed in it… because that's what happened! Kinda.

And YES you want to grab the hi-res version.

INCREDIBLE and spectacular Hubble image of a galaxy that got whacked by another galaxy

The collision caused easily visible multiple rings of stars to ripple outward
