One more garden success this year was finally getting artichokes started. We had four successfully take and grow pretty large. As a perennial, I’m hopeful we will see flowers (what you think of when you buy an artichoke at the store) next year! #gardening #artichokes

Clearing out the garden and discovering that this is the first year I successfully grew celery here in Virginia. Will be using this in the beef stew canning coming up. Flavor is more intense than store bought variety. #gardening #celery

Apple pie filling complete! 7 quarts done. Now onto the jalapeño jelly and rose hip jam.
