This is how Dems need to respond

Rep Joe Neguse reframes a "Why aren't Dems...." question into an accurate question about the Trump admin and the GOP

OK, as pointed out by some helpful librarians, I was probably looking for Latanya Sweeney's "Simple Demographics Often Identify People Uniquely" https://dataprivacylab.org/projects/identifiability/paper1.pdf

With just zip code, birthdate, and gender, you can uniquely identify 87% of people in the US.

@siracusa Hi John. I'm enjoying reading your Hyperspace documentation and want to point out a typo. In the second sentence of the answer to "So Hyperspace can reclaim disk space…?”, you have written “(5 x 100 GB)” when it should say “(5 x 100 MB)”. https://hypercritical.co/hyperspace/#without-removing

There’s got to be an official process for this beyond one dude scribbling his Sharpie on a piece of paper, right? I mean, if he’d declared it the “Gulf of Donald Trump Is Awesome”, would people be falling all over themselves to rename it everywhere?!

I’ve got an idea. Instead of replacing every residential water system in wildland interface neighborhoods to deliver enough water to fight 100 simultaneous house fires, we could spend the money phasing out oil and gas combustion

I continue to be amazed at how poorly iOS auto correct works for me, given that my fat thumbs have been typing exclusively on iPhones since 2007, and I’ve upgraded directly from phone to phone, without a clean jnstall, for as long as it’s been possible.

You’d think a predictive keyboard would (or at least could) be pretty smart given 17.5 years of usage behavior.

What would Steve Jobs do?
@joec Hey Joe! It was a nice surprise to see you show up in the Tally user list. I always had huge respect for your perspective. I'd love to get any feedback you have on the app. Hope Boulder is still treating you well!

@gedeonm Hi Ged. I've long been a fan of the Iconfactory's work, especially your apps. I've been building an app called Tally that saves sounds, especially voices. The thread linked below explains the gist of it.

Hopefully I can hire you all someday to help Tally reach its full potential. I’m not quite there yet, but if you'd like to try it, I'd welcome any feedback you have.

And please feel free to pass it along to anyone else you think might like to help test it.
