We had to say goodbye to this littlie yesterday. Belle made it through congenital liver disease, diabetes, and cancer but in the end an enlarged heart proved to be just too much. She was the friendliest, happiest girl you could ever imagine and brought untold joy to us for the almost 15 years we had with her.

My faithful COVID companion Watson, hanging in there for day 11 and the Paxlovid rebound phase of this thing. And I was so hopeful after a negative test yesterday. Sigh.
Watson has been my COVID nursemaid, loving this opportunity for uninterrupted cuddles. It would be a lot more endearing if it wasn't 100+ degrees out there and my house had air conditioning.
The Oregon coast is just the best place ever, even when you're a little old and a little blind and deaf. It's Belle's happiest place on earth.

We had 11+ years with this tough little rescue who took over the whole house and ruled everybody. We had to say goodbye yesterday, creating a hole much bigger than you'd think a 12 lbs pupper could make. Little Annie Banannie was a fighter to the end, which was as loving and peaceful as she deserved.
