The best microfiber cloths I’ve found come from a company with a great attitude https://nerdwax.com/collections/secretly-nerdy
SECRETLY NERDY

@marcoarment
I’m on the Architecture Committee for my HOAMCO. We manage with a combination of settings:
1) waiting room - the staff member who is “hosting” the meeting lets people in and can boot people, if necessary
2) we ask residents to configure their Zoom display name to include their property address - though many do not.
3) only the committee members are unmuted - others raise their hand to speak
4) unique meeting ID emailed out to the community and posted on the HOA website in advance.
@siracusa I had the same problem and it turns out renaming collections to the same name merged them, when they were both “pet” collections. If one collection is a “pet” and the other collection is a “person” collection the renaming won’t work. When that was the case I deleted the “person” collection and hoped that the Photos app process will refund those photos and properly categorize them.
@atpfm Eventually, had to erase the watch and pair it with the new phone as a new watch. Fortunately, the watch backup on the phone worked and I had my watch back after a lot of app downloading and installing. I got to the Apple Store (75 min drive), left there at 4:45 after driving home having dinner and watching a bit of TV with my wife, all while futzing with the phone and the watch, now it’s 10:45 pm and I think I have everything working - whew! /end
@atpfm After skipping the 2nd Apple ID the phone setup seemed to complete. A couple Apple two-factor autos popped up and completed ok. Then came the watch. It started pairing and then failed several times in the store. The Apple tech blamed it on bad Verizon signal in store (1 bar). Finally erased the old phone, did the trade in and went home to finish things. New phone now failed to see the watch. It was still paired with the old phone I no longer had?!? /2
@atpfm - migration to iPhone 15 experience not great. 3+ hours in Apple Store. I have two AppleIDs , use the old (now secondary) ID for media and subscriptions. The two factor auth got stuck between phones and the code never came through. This was at a point where the old phone was off the Verizon net, but the new phone wasn’t on the net yet. 3-4 diff Apple employees tried different things for almost 90 min before we gave up and skipped that step. /1

@caseyliss @marcoarment @siracusa Finally got in around 06:20 MDT

Green iPhone 15 - 128gb for wife, deliver 9/22

Blue iPhone 15 Pro Max - 1TB for me, pick up 9/22 (delivery wasn’t until Oct)

I was triple-wielding:

• iPhone on Verizon/cellular
• iPad Pro on Verizon/cellular
• MacBook Pro on Verizon FiOS

For the first time ever, the FiOS connection won the CDN lottery. I got my phone through on the MBP, and then the iPad woke for Erin’s phone.

Godspeed, everyone. And remember: https://themarcooffset.com

@caseyliss @marcoarment @siracusa Apple Store still not “open” for me in either the app or the web 😬
