Trappers Peak, North Cascades, WA. Rough road on the way to the trailhead made this a quieter hike, good bit of elevation and altitude. Really great 360 views of the top, even with a little cell service to catch the end of the Seahawks game! Worthy of a place in the Scots Guidebook of the North Cascades ;) #northcascades#pnw#outdoors#hiking#washington#snow#mountains
What a grind last night was. I recommend mailbox peak for those who want to punish themselves or feel life is too easy. Great views at the top, terrible on the way. A mentally punishing 2.4 miles with 4000’ of elevation. Completed in 3 hours, but I’d recommend taking longer if you don’t want to come face to face with your inner demons. #pnw#outdoors#seattle#northcascades#hiking#washington#trails#nature#mountains#trailrunning#nationalpark
You know what’s software engineering? Regaining control over a computer 20 billion kilometers away thanks to the design decisions made 50 years prior. #voyager2
Vesper Peak, Mt Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, WA. 90 minutes from Seattle, 4200’ of elevation gain, 8 miles and some great class 2-3 scrambles. A pretty punishing final push to the summit that is well rewarded by great views of copper lakes and the other surrounding peaks. Highly recommend to experienced hikers and folks wanting to push into moderate scrambles alike. #pnw#outdoors#seattle#northcascades#hiking#washington#trails#nature#mountains#snoqualmienationalforest
