@monkeybrains What’s up with our service at 861 Post? It’s been out all day with zero notifications or communication. My partner hd homework to do all day and I’ve got work tomorrow. Not the service we typically get or expect…
Why solar panels on cars make no sense (at this point)

It’s either good or bad news for Tesla - on one hand those who are still on the fence now can get a cheaper Tesla - by a mile. On the other hand, the investors worry that demand is gone and the shares may slide even more.

A great (if rather long) presentation from an ex-Google employee about the inherent difficulties of accomplishing projects in large organizations, even when they're full of capable and cooperative people. Indirectly via Hacker News, Business Insider. https://komoroske.com/slime-mold/

as a highly paid tech worker (I make ~200k), Idy gladly take lower salaries (and more evenly distributed) if it meant greater stability instead of waves of boom then bust and layoffs

ofc I know they won't do that without us fighting for it. but wanted to put it out there like I make more than enough, and many people make significantly more than me. if we stopped paying people 500k, 700k, 1mil+ etc, maybe we could keep more people employed over time and grow more sustainably
