@tylerhall Here we go!

This honestly looks pretty good, how do I mount this on my bike?

@tylerhall Should we include our setups?
Music, iOS 18: is there any way to reorder tracks in a playlist? The obvious drag and drop doesn't work, and I don't see anything useful in the context menu.

@jackbrewster I managed to get temporarily get rid of them by deleting /System/Volumes/Data/Library/Preferences/com.apple.networkextension.plist, but that caused some weird duplication in my VPN connection settings. As far as I've found there's no official way to clean this up.

I have not yet updated to Numbers 15. I have a couple of spreadsheets I use for tracking bills and finances that I've been sharing with my wife for years and we still use an iMac on Ventura so I've been sticking with Numbers 14.5 for now.

Apple's already cut off shared documents for Numbers 14.5, so that sucks, but I'm pretty sure there's a failed process still trying to sync things, because I lost a ton of edits in my bills spreadsheet. So that's great. Thanks Apple.

I plugged in a couple of extra monitors earlier because my wife needed a bunch of reference material visible at once. The "Arrange Displays" tool in Settings barely works now. It locked up constantly; I eventually figured out I could only move one display at a time, close the tool and reopen it to adjust the other.

Oh, and there's this:

I swear absolutely everything about macOS worked better a decade ago.

Picking a user from the sign in screen? Since Ventura or so there's a weird hover interaction required to switch.

1Password? It's been terrible since the Electron rewrite, but I'm not sure how much of that is the Electron stuff and how much is just Safari's autocomplete API.

I feel like I have to dismiss passkey prompts 3 times every time I decline to register one.

@helge MacBook Neo (2026)? That's how they used to do it, right?

As a very occasional Mac developer, I still start with Objective-C. I still like it a lot, and it's _stable_.

My toxic trait is that I still think Objective-C’s message syntax was fine.
